Our Mission

Our mission is to provide the youth of Newton and Rockdale counties with a set of principles and values that, while imperative for success on the football field, can also be translated into life-long accomplishments. Sportsmanship, teamwork, work ethic, drive, pride, camaraderie, and a sense of responsibility, while all attributes of a good athlete, also describe productive and aware members of society. 

NewRock YFCA Goals

  1. Provide a fun-filled atmosphere that incorporates teaching the youth of Newton, Rockdale, and surrounding counties the fundamentals of football and cheerleading. 
  2. NewRock YFCA will provide the residents a competitive travel forum and venue focusing on football and cheerleading for the residents of Newton, Rockdale and surrounding counties. 
  3. Our existence will help the young men and women make a stable transition from youth football to middle and high school football using the travel forum to provide and create better opportunities for the players, who would not otherwise come into contact with the wide variety of athletes and competition. 
  4. To alleviate the burden on parents that must travel outside Newton and Rockdale Counties so that their child can compete against other areas within the Atlanta region and provide Newton and Rockdale parents a venue who want to put their four, five, or six year old in football. 
  5. Provide a competitive sports program that emphasizes the importance of academics before athletics.
  6. Provide opportunities and programs that help build skills for our athletes in the classroom and on the field.
